Want to become an Accountant?
You can become an accredited Accountant in New Zealand, once you meet the following requirements:
- Successfully complete the NZ Diploma in Business with an Accounting major; and
- Have two years' relevant professional experience; and
- Pass the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants (NZICA) Foundation Programme.
Double Diploma
If you take the right choice of papers (we will advise you which ones to take and in what order), then you can gain both the NZ Diploma in Business and the NZ Institute of Management’s Diploma in Management at the same time – with no extra work and no extra cost.
Pathway to a University Degree
The NZ Diploma in Business is based on the University style of lectures and assessments. Therefore, with a B Grade Average, you may receive up to 2 years cross-credits towards a Bachelor of Business at many New Zealand Universities. Please note: each University has their own cross credit policy and you will need to check with them.
Work Entitlement
While studying this programme, you can work up to 20 hours per week during the academic year. You will also gain points towards immigration to New Zealand on completion of the qualification.
Upon graduation, you may be eligible for a 12 month Graduate Job Search Visa. When you obtain a job offer, you can apply for a work visa..
